VeloComputer

All it takes is a Bluetooth® and Java capable mobile phone and VeloComputer wireless sensor. The sensor attaches to the wheel of your bicycle and wirelessly transmits precise motion data to the VeloComputer Java application on the phone. The application instantly calculates and displays speed, acceleration, time and distance traveled. All your travel data can be stored on the phone and uploaded to a computer for training analysis.

Unlike traditional spoke-attached sensors, which measure a full 360 degree wheel rotation and then calculate an average speed over 3-5 rotations (6-10m of distance), our innovative wireless sensor is capable of detecting as little as 1 degree of wheel rotation. This unique sensing technology accurately measures spot speed and acceleration, and could measure torque and even power without any additional sensors.

VeloComputer also uses VeloTones for audible speed and acceleration monitoring. VeloTones, like ringtones, are mp3 sound themes which allow cyclists to determine speed and acceleration without the need to look at the display. Keep your eyes on the road, not your computer.
